Project Ducks
In the fall of 2011 we took our three boys to the Kansas State Fair. I had told them the story of the duck my family had when I was a child. When they walked through the poultry barn they decided among themselves that we too should have ducks. So it was that upon returning from Spring Break camping we visited Tractor Supply Company and returned with two cardboard boxes, each holding three ducklings.
The ducks were not for meat and not for eggs, They were only for the experience. Like all experiences, they are the source for stories. The chronicles of the ducks accessible through this website are some of those stories. You can get the rest, with more stories, funny and inspiring, on Amazon.com in the e-book "Living with Ducks and Other Wildness."
